Sound familiar?
Rest used to fix it. Now you wake up already behind.
Heavy legs on easy days. Niggles that won’t quite settle.
Consistent effort, and the numbers have stalled or slipped.
A “perfect” day of eating that ends at the pantry.
Sleep that doesn’t restore, and a mood with a short fuse.
You’ve cut back, and your body is holding on tighter.
These can have many causes, especially in perimenopause. The Fuel Check helps you see whether fuel is part of the picture.
How it works
About your energy, recovery, training, sleep, mood and appetite, plus a little about you.
Your score, the area that stands out most, and three first steps chosen from your answers.
A one-page summary lands in your inbox, so you can check in again in a month.
Why it matters
When the energy you eat doesn’t cover what training and daily life ask of you, your body quietly turns things down to save energy. Researchers call this low energy availability. It can affect recovery, mood, immunity, performance and bone health, and it often goes unnoticed in women who look like they’re doing everything right.
Perimenopause adds another layer, because bone and muscle already need more support in this season.

A note from Mik
I’m a nutritional scientist, and I’m training and racing through perimenopause myself. The Fuel Check turns a vague “I feel flat” into something clear you can act on, and it’s the same thinking that sits behind Sérénité Active.

No. It’s an educational self-check to help you notice patterns. If you’re worried about your health, have had a stress fracture, or had missed periods before perimenopause, please talk to your GP.
Active women in perimenopause and beyond: runners, riders, lifters, walkers, anyone training regularly who feels flat despite eating well.

Under-fuelling is itself a stress on the body. When your load is already high, eating too little can add to it rather than ease it, and regular, predictable meals are one of the kindest things you can offer a stretched system.
When stress blurs your signals, a steady pattern of meals and snacks on training days is more reliable than waiting until you feel hungry.
A trauma-informed counsellor or psychologist, alongside good nutrition support, can make a real difference. If food itself feels complicated, please mention it to your GP.
Sérénité Active sets your energy and macro targets from your own body and training, adjusts them as things shift, and gently flags days when you’re under-fuelling.
